Verdict

EARLS QUARTER beat the classy Rebel Fitz over hurdles at Galway last August and has been kept going on the Flat this summer. He looks a potentially useful recruit to fences and though this is a tough start he should be up to it. The Folkes Choice is a sister to a winning chaser and out of a mare who scored over fences so the fact that she could win over hurdles is a bonus and she's another with potential. Days Ahead made a promising start over fences when runner-up to House Rules at Killarney and was still in touch and travelling nicely when coming to grief at the second last in the race won by Bundle Of Fun at Downpatrick last month. He's an obvious threat along with Total Excitement, who produced his best run to date over fences when runner-up to Sicilian Secret at Kilbeggan. He'llberemembered is a smart hurdler who makes his chasing bow and a recent run on the Flat will have put him straight.
