THE ROSSMEISTER finished third from a mark of 60 over the C&D last August and is down to 54 here after running moderately subsequently. However, he's been in good form over timber and landed a maiden on fast ground at Cork last week so is looking well enough handicapped to take this. Metropolis ran well behind Dusty Trail over 1m2f at Clonmel last week but the fact that he's still a maiden after 22 career starts is hardly a pointer and Cool Athlete, who finished just behind in fourth, has a reasonable chance of reversing the form. Almanyan scored over 1m6f on very fast going here a year ago and is only 1lb higher. He ran well enough at Wexford last time though the trip could just prove on the short side.
