Verdict

A very modest affair, emphasized by the fact that the top two in the weights were both pulled up on their respective reappearances. Endofdiscusion is probably capable of better but Lord Landen shouldn't be far away on his chasing bow having been well backed over hurdles at Southwell last time while Pod's latest second at Taunton was boosted when the winner went in again at the Somerset track earlier this week. CLASSIC CASE was soon struggling at Uttoxeter last month but that was his first run since December last year. Often highly tried over hurdles, he still has a bit of scope at this level so gets a tentative vote.
