Verdict

CHAC DU CADRAN landed a novice hurdle over 2m5f here in November on good going and has run well enough in three subsequent handicaps at around this trip on softer ground to suggest he can gain his second victory on the track. Father Probus landed a novices' handicap at Taunton before a decent effort from 7lb higher on the same track though he's gone up another 2lb. He had Teenage Kicks behind in that latter event and can confirm the form but the veteran Deep Pockets is better handicapped over fences these days. General Ting has yet to prove he stays the trip while Counting House has struggled at the weights since scoring at Newbury a year ago.
