Verdict

Valley View is back on a winning mark but hasn't been firing this term. Father Shine looks vulnerable off his current mark but Pyracantha appears to be running into a bit of form and Topaze Collonges won at Lingfield and over today's track and trip before running a shocker at Leicester. THE SAWYER is in the veteran stage now but this represents a significant drop in class and it's just over a year since he was finishing fourth in the Grade 2 Peter Marsh at Haydock. If he can get anywhere near that form, Bob Buckler's chestnut would be worth an interest. Pensnett Bay has had a short break but was in decent form in the autumn and shouldn't be ignored.
