Verdict

MALINDI BAY likes soft ground and this strong-staying mare gets the nod to land the spoils. A comfortable winner at Uttoxeter last time, for which she picks up a penalty, Kim Bailey's mare looks sure to run well. Kaituna won well at Plumpton but the filly faces very different ground today, and along with Catch The Rascal is reluctantly taken on. The former point-to-point winner Bounds And Leaps is the other to mention in a competitive opener.
