Verdict

Cordage sprung a surprise when making a winning debut over hurdles here earlier this month and has to be respected but the penalty for that success may just anchor him and preference is for Dr Dream, who is taken to reverse that form and he gets the vote over Night Groove. The last mentioned was also involved in that contest last week, weakening from two out and eventually finishing fourth just behind another of today's rivals Tiffin Deano. Night Grove is more consistent though and should again be thereabouts. Watch Out ran better at Market Rasen last month and makes more appeal than Flying Grey, who takes a drop in class but has been well held in recent starts. Preference then is for Dr Dream, who won at Bangor last month and would have finished closer to Cordage here last week but for jumping badly left at the last.
