In depth

Verdict

Dramatic Quest won a couple of selling hurdles at Leicester during the winter but gave little sign for encouragement on his chasing debut back at the same venue in February and preference is for Oracle des Mottes, who gets the verdict over Moscow Whisper. The last mentioned lost no caste in defeat behind Red Devil Robert on his chasing debut in a beginners' chase at Taunton last month and has to be respected. Red Devil Robert's trainer Paul Nicholls should have a good line to Moscow Whisper though for Oracle des Mottes and the six-year-old, who is less exposed than his main rivals, is taken to fulfill earlier promise and give his handler further success in his trainers' championship bid. Nick Gifford's Monsieur Rose unseated his rider on his reappearance last month and cannot be discounted if putting in a clear round, while Smurfit has shown signs of ability. Oracles des Mottes sets a decent standard though and will be tough to beat.
