Verdict

It's hardly surprising to see CALM BAY running with a 5lb penalty as he's been raised a massive 14lb for his victory at Down Royal on Saturday where he scored easily despite an 11lb rise for the previous week's Navan success. He's impossible to oppose and hopefully his third run in close proximity won't do any harm. The three-year-olds Little Sweetheart, Shinyhappyjohn and Ever Yours are closely matched after finishing 1-2-3 at Cork last month and the latter may be capable of reversing the form under her excellent apprentice. Copper Dock is the only course and distance winner in the line-up and the veteran ran his best race for a very long time at Cork last time though that was over 7f.
