Verdict

ROCKVIEW EMPEROR has gone up 8lb for his victory at Naas but had something in hand and should be up to defying the extra. Reckless Lad, who was around three lengths behind in third, should get closer on these terms without reversing the form. Quinine looked ready to win soon when a close third at Fairyhouse but didn't live up to that form when favourite at Galway. Teochrios is improving gradually and the assessor appears to have been lenient in dropping him 2lb after a fair run at Naas.
