Jack Absolute is in good form and has plenty in his favour here being rated 26lb lower over hurdles than fences. Cranky Corner's recent form figures aren't particularly inspiring but he's starting to look well handicapped now while Derinlaur could easily bounce back from a below-par run at Navan and is preferred to Down Royal runner-up Miss Xian and Mackey Boy, who probably didn't beat much at Limerick and won't get a run here unless something drops out. CODE OF THE WEST has proved consistent over the larger obstacles lately and reverts to hurdles on a 17lb lower mark. Christy Roche's versatile gelding is just as effective over timber and can get back to winning ways today.
