In depth

Verdict

Parlour was expected to make a winning debut at Galway last week when odds on and she did not disappoint. There is much more to come from the daughter of Dansili though this is a big step-up in class. Cornakill has been competing at Group 3 and Listed level so will find this grade to her liking but HEADFORD VIEW is in better form and gets the vote. James Halpin's mare returned from a long break to run a superb third behind Sharisse in a Curragh handicap in June and that should have put her straight for this. Picture Perfect, who landed a Naas maiden in April, stepped up on that when fifth behind Bethrah in the 1000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown and that form can hardly have worked out better.
