Verdict

Bonifacio scored over the trip at Sligo in July and was having his first start since a poor effort at Killarney two days later when an excellent second to Diyla at Ballinrobe and can go well despite being on his highest-ever mark. However, Rudigreen, who was only just behind at Ballinrobe, was returning from a year off and should turn the tables. DIAMOND SHOWER received a 12lb hike in the weights after scoring comfortably at Cork in August but ran well enough under his extra burden when runner-up to Old Theatre Royal over 2m at Ballinrobe. He should be suited by today's distance and may just have too many guns for the consistent Ella Watson, who was unfortunate to be caught right on the line by I Hear A Symphony at Sligo last week. Waterville still has plenty of life in him judged by his run behind Jack Cool at Listowel recently, his first start since May of last year.
