Verdict

The veteran Marshim is a force to be reckoned with around here and followed a narrow victory over track and trip with an even better effort when just touched off by Mydor. He's now on his highest ever mark on his 41st start but is still likely to get involved. Winning point-to-pointer Long House Hall was making his hurdling debut when landing a Kilbeggan maiden last month and isn't badly treated on his handicap debut with Barry Geraghty a very positive booking. Oscar Chimes is another making his handicap debut and his overall form is strong enough to get into the action but SWIFTMARC looks the one to be on. Dessie Hughes' charge has had very little racing over the past couple of years but returned after a long break to score over fences at Clonmel then found 2m too short back over hurdles at Kilbeggan. Kilmainham has won just once in 19 starts over timber but is on a fair mark as a consequence and his latest run behind Drive On Locky at Tramore suggests he'll be scoring again soon.
