Verdict

Newmill won this in 2006 and again last year and showed he was no back number with a fine run over timber behind Sublimity at Cork. He had the strongly fancied Snowy Morning in second a year ago and the latter's trainer, Willie Mullins, will be hoping for revenge here with J'Y VOLE, back over his best trip after failing to stay in the Lexus Chase. He had previously finished just in front of Roberto Goldback and Glencove Marina when they occupied the places behind Tranquil Sea in the John Durkan at Punchestown and should beat those rivals again though there was very little to choose between the trio that day. Psycho, who landed a Grade 3 over 2m2f here three weeks ago, has won four of his eight starts over fences and this is probably his best trip.
