Verdict

Make It Better had a few runs over timber at the beginning of his career but has made incredible progress since being sent hunting, winning his last three point-to-points and a hunter chase by 17l in April. He's very well treated if transferring that progress to hurdles and has to be on the short-list. Mikey O'Connor also runs the lightly-raced Castle Ranger, who was improving when last seen at this time a year ago. Whiskey And Red had shown virtually nothing before landing a real touch at Downpatrick last month but the assessor has taken note and handed him an 8lb rise in the weights. Cool Oscar isn't the most consistent but was seen at his best when runner-up to Hidden Shamrock at Navan last time while the lightly-raced Robbie Kaydee ran his best race for a long time at Fairyhouse earlier this month. VIC CHIC sneaks in to the bottom of the handicap by virtue of a penalty for Monday's victory at Tipperary where she landed a gamble. That was only her second start in a handicap and with more to come she's well enough treated to complete a quick double.
