In depth

Verdict

Galant Ferns had Askmeroe 5lb behind when scoring over the trip at Fairyhouse and can confirm the places on 5lb worse terms as a mistake at the last almost stopped her in her tracks. Beckett Rock had more in hand than the winning margin suggests at Limerick so a 6lb rise doesn't look too much of a problem while Brookville ran her best race to date at Navan last month though she's not entirely consistent. BALLINAHOW LADY won a similar race to this at the meeting a year ago and though 16lb higher she remains a decent performer over hurdles and bids to get her confidence back after running poorly over fences. She may just be good enough in a tricky event.
