Verdict

Wise Oscar makes his handicap debut over fences on an 8lb lower mark than over timber which isn't surprising considering his three moderate runs to date. Drive On Jim loves heavy ground but has yet to prove he stays this far, a remark that also applies to Hold Em Cowboy, though the latter ran well over 2m6f here last month and looks a danger. COCHISE had dropped to a very lowly mark after several poor efforts before returning to form with a cracking performance behind Jolily over the C&D a couple of weeks ago. He's been raised 4lb but would be very difficult to beat in that kind of form. Vardas Supreme put some shocking jumping performances behind him at Down Royal last time and may prove best of the remainder.
