Verdict

Nina Carberry, who has won this twice in the past four years, was on board Under The Arch when he ran in a strong Limerick bumper won by Hidden Universe in May. This time, however, she takes the ride on Enda Bolger's POCKET READER and the move can be successful. A winner between the flags at Ballingarry in June, he ran very well when just touched off by One Fine Morning over timber at Galway last month and should have enough pace for this. Watchmetal made a fair start to his career at Punchestown though he was a long way behind the winner Staying Article. Charlie Swift didn't disgrace himself in a huge field at Navan in September and will have come on for the experience.
