Sir Mark Prescott's ALICANTE is given the confident vote to land his hat-trick at the expense of Bolin Judith and Upon Seas. The selection improved significantly once stepped up in trip and could still be ahead of the handicapper despite being a full fourteen pounds higher in the weights since her latest race. Bolin Judith is relatively unexposed with seven runs under her belt. She managed to win a maiden handicap at Redcar back in May and was not discredited when third of nine at Haydock last time out. She is only three pounds higher than her winning mark so has to be respected. Upton Seas is seven pounds higher since breaking her maiden tag at Beverley at the beginning of the month. That was her first run for her new trainer. Whether she is good enough to follow up off her new mark remains to be seen but any moves in the market should be noted. Alicante has conditions to suit and can take advantage of her lenient mark once again.
