OBE GOLD is the tentative suggestion in as competitive a race as you could wish to find at this level. Mutamared, Steelcut and Gap Princess are other live contenders at the weights. The problem with the selection is that he often fluffs the start but that at least means that his high draw isn't a real concern as he'll be able to drop in. He does pick up strongly when he gets into stride though and is versatile with regard to underfoot conditions so should go well. Mutamared is also drawn high and may not take his chance if there's significant rain but conditions should represent no problems for Steelcut who should be competitive in this line-up. Gap Princess is due to have her first run since leaving Richard Fahey but she has raced predominantly on good ground or faster so has questions to answer if it comes up soft. John Keats falls into the same category but a worsening of conditions wouldn't worry Charles Parnell, the blinkered Whiteoak Lady or Steel Blue. The suggestion, however, is Obe Gold.
