Verdict

This shouldn't take much winning and MOHAWK PRINCE can carry his big weight to victory. Michael Dods' charge last won a race at Catterick in August where he was racing off exactly the same mark. Lee Topliss' claim is a major bonus and the six-year-old can gain his fifth career success. Strikemaster has a similar profile though he's generally competed at a lower grade having won two Class 6 handicaps over this trip in October. He returned from a long absence to run well at Catterick three weeks ago and looks the main danger. Amir Pasha has won four times over hurdles but never beyond 1m4f on the Flat though is now racing from a very low mark after several poor efforts recently. Saturday's Redcar third Shirls Son Sam and Nay Secret are maidens with 20 runs between them and, though carrying little weight, are difficult to fancy.
