A fiercely-contested race despite its lowly status and having won in a similar grade in the past, WHISPERED TIMES should appreciate what appears on paper to be an easier task. The five-year-old dropped a heavy hint at Redcar earlier in the month, and though somewhat below par at Newcastle, he should find that the return to a mile in his favour. Mahadee is better known as an all-weather performer though he did win on the Turf off a mark of 91 a couple of seasons ago. He could be potentially thrown in off a rating of just 65. Lady Advocate won a handicap at Beverley in fine style but has put up two lamentable efforts since, but Outlaw Torn was third in a similar contest over C&D last month and should be capable of going close off a 1lb lower mark. Byron Bear obliged in a Pontefract handicap off a mark of 50 last season so Paul Midgley's gelding is also respected.
