      Verdict

      A 4lb drop in the handicap, the application of first-time blinkers and the presence in the plate of Paul Hanagan suggests that tonight is the night to be with MY ONE WEAKNESS, who we hope can return to winning form. Ripon winner Walvis Bay carries a penalty for that success over this trip, but previous efforts from this sort of mark are not encouraging. Mon Brav, Ignatieff and High Spice have all obliged over this distance in recent runs, but the assessor may just have the measure of that trio, and Magical Macey may be more of a threat from his current pitch. Even so, My One Weakness has his best chance for some time and gets the vote.
