Verdict

An interesting stayers' handicap can go to DAN'S HEIR. Wilf Storey's eight-year-old won a similar race at Catterick before going close from a 6lb higher mark here over this trip last time. He goes well on a sound or fast surface and should take plenty of beating once again. If there is one to lower his colours it could be Jeu De Roseau. Chris Grant's Montjeu gelding goes best on rattling fast ground and stays this trip really well, so he has to be short-listed. Zefooha has been well placed by Tim Walford to win three times and make the frame on numerous other occasions. She stays 1m 6f, though she still has it to prove over this more extreme distance. Decipher is far from certain to get home based on pedigree and Dan's Heir can score.
