Uhoomagoo is capable of playing a part in the finish here but is probably better over seven furlongs and preference is for Granston, who gets the vote ahead of Rio Riva. The selection looked a shade unlucky at Kempton last time behind the in-form Hail The Chief and has an obvious chance back on turf off just a 1lb higher mark today. Blue Spinnaker showed promise on his reappearance at Pontefract last time and could be of interest off the same mark as when successful in this race two years ago. Luca Cumani's string has started the season in good form so lack of a recent run for Minority Report need not be of concern, while Game Lad is entitled to come on for his run at the Craven meeting. Alan Swinbank's Hartshead may need the outing and of more interest may be David Barron's Flipando, who comes from a yard in top form and may be better than he showed last time. Emerald Bay has plenty to find with Rio Riva on running at Newbury and Julie Camacho's runner obviously warrants plenty of respect on Newbury form but Granston really caught the eye at Kempton and is taken to make amends today.
