Verdict

Mayfield Girl landed a nursery on soft ground at York but didn't enjoy the quicker going on a return visit when over 3l behind today's rival Lady Poppy, who blasted out of the stalls and made all. Storm Moon scored at Musselburgh and Southwell before being outclassed in Listed and Group 2 company but Botanic Garden appeared to appreciate soft ground when scoring at Chester and couldn't quite replicate that at Sandown. LASTCHANCELUCAS scored twice over this trip in May and was sent to Epsom for a 6f Listed event which proved beyond him. Back over the minimum trip on quick ground he's handed the vote with his young rider's claim a bonus.
