Verdict

Plenty with claims in the opener and though Captain Midnight sets the standard with an official mark of 71 it would be no surprise if one or more of the opposition proved too good. Steele Ranger drops back in trip after a third at Kempton while Heroique also came up short over 6f at Pontefract last time. Bob Masnicken and Elite Freedom are expected to improve for their recent debuts but so is LUCY PARSONS. She showed plenty of pace when fourth on her introduction at Ripon so David Barron's filly gets the nod to open her account. Stable companion Precariously Good is a newcomer to note.
