In depth

Verdict

A wide open contest here and there is very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Lansdowne Princess, Pongo's Nephew and Kalamazoo and the narrow vote is given to Lansdown Princess. The selection was a fair second behind Magot De Grugy last time out, that form looks solid and off the same mark here she will take some beating. Pongo's Nephew rates the main danger on his best form and he is dropping to a handy mark so he should be watched in the market but consistency is not his strong point. Kalamazoo was fourth behind Obelix De Longechaux but he is becoming expensive to follow. So Brash won well a couple of starts ago but has since been well beaten off this mark. Of the remainder Thunder Child would be a danger to all if his jumping holds up but that is a big if and with this in mind for the winner we return to Lansdowne Princess.
