An obvious chance for Pirate Flagship to regain the winning thread in preference to Hill Forts Henry and Lolita Hills. Paul Nicholls charge is dropped in grade having finished sixth in a hot novice race at Newbury. Plans for him have already been muted for a chasing campaign so anything gleaned here is a bonus. He has the beating of Lolita Hills and should be capable of confirming that under a penalty. Hill Forts Henry ran well for a long way at Plumpton before dropping away tamely at the finish. His bumper form was progressive but he still has a bit to prove over the hurdles. Prestbury Knight is still a maiden in spite of attracting plenty of market interest in his previous races. His yard are not running well and he is probably best left. Twelve Paces is a half-brother to Crocadee. He was never competitive over 2m4f at Chepstow and is watched in the market on this occasion. Miss Midnight appears to put her best form together at this track but is beginning to look plenty exposed at present. Not a particularly strong finale and Pirate Flagship appears very difficult to oppose.
