In depth

Verdict

Paul Nicholls has enjoyed a 50 per cent strike rate with his bumper horses here in the last five years and URUBU D'IRLANDE can improve those stats by landing this on his debut under Rules. He changed hands for a sizeable figure after winning a point-to-point at Trebudannon by 10 lengths in May. Kilmurvy should go on to better things after finishing second in a Stratford bumper in May but Irish raider Chakisto has gone backwards since finishing third at Limerick in April. Calusa Comet looks the pick of the newcomers on breeding and is worth watching for future reference along with Harry Fry's Oscar Rock, another point-to-point winner, and Vicator.
