In depth

Verdict

POD made all and kept on well to score at Plumpton nine days ago. He may be worth supporting to defy a penalty against largely disappointing opposition. El Toreros never threatened when runner-up to easy winner Topthorn at Worcester last time but Chance Encounter could go well if fully wound-up for his first run since June. Both of Captain Knock's wins under Rules have come on fast going but recent form is a concern and Beauchamp Viking was starting to look a light of former days in the summer.
