Jim Old has his team in good form now so Jersey Countess has to be respected but she needs to improve on all known form to trouble ALFLORA DORA, who gets the vote with Lavender Track rated the best of the rest. The selection showed promise in three starts in bumpers and she stepped up on the form of his hurdling debut when chasing home Ravello Bay at Huntingdon and a reproduction of that effort may well suffice for Alan King's mare. Spangle Island was well held on her debut at Bangor last month and is hard to recommend on that basis, while Charlie Mann's Never Lost has given no real sign of encouragement so far. David Arbuthnot's Lavender Track has shown decent form in bumpers with wins at Fontwell and Ludlow before losing no caste in defeat behind Mad Max in a good contest at Newbury. She would have every chance if able to reproduce that form over timber. Nicky Henderson's Moonlit Path is held by Alflora Dora on running at Huntingdon and Alan King's mare gets the vote to one better today.
