In depth

Verdict

Smokey George has been rested since failing in his hat-trick bid at Southwell early last month. He's 11lb higher here and may be vulnerable again as Be My Light, successful at Huntingdon 15 days ago, is weighted to reverse Leicester running with Kim Bailey's charge earlier. Jump Up probably isn't as good as his form figures suggest, but Beside The Fire has been knocking on the door and can't be left out of calculations while That'lldoboy is improving with experience. Prince Of Denial is dropped in grade after finishing fifth at Exeter but there be some mileage in giving POSH EMILY a chance to improve an already decent record at this track. A winner twice over 2m1f here, she's also run well on several other visits and Jake Greenall is a good jockey booking for a race of this nature.
