In depth

Verdict

Sunny Spells sets the recent form standard with two wins from his last three runs for which he's been raised a total of 17lb, 3lb of which is offset by the claim of the useful Joshua Moore. Interestingly, connections reach for blinkers for the first time despite his recent run of success but we'll take a chance with SHABAK HOM. He's a fair performer on the level at a modest grade and gets into his first handicap over timber off a tempting mark after showing little in four starts to date. Karen George has booked AP McCoy for her Irish import Gizzit after a fair effort when second to Bobowen here last time. A similar run will ensure the gelding's competitiveness here.
