Verdict

Johnny's Way and Life Of A Luso look up against it at the weights and BALLYVESEY is taken to land another summer prize for Peter Bowen. He ran a cracking race last time in the Listed Summer Cup at Uttoxeter behind Emmaslegend and this rates a more straightforward, if still competitive, assignment. Round Tom travelled well for a long way last time over 3m2f at Ludlow and should be suited by this drop in trip off a mark of 118. Calusa Caldera inched home at Ffos Las from Scotsbrook Cloud latest for which he's been penalised a harsh-looking 8lb, whilst Calypso Bay, in contrast, still looks on a fair mark for the O'Neill/McCoy team. Miss Saffron has more to offer over fences and is interesting from the foot of the weights.
