      Surf And Turf is invariably well backed and Jonjo O'Neill tries him in first time cheekpieces having witnessed the seven-year-old put up a disappointing display at Newton Abbot six days ago. Walden Prince came to grief when holding very chance on his most recent start, and though he won a race at Sandown on soft, Tony Carroll's runner appears capable of handling a faster surface. Officially Modern and Tri Nations have a bit to find on their recent efforts and the pair are easy to oppose.
