Verdict

Although he was only winning a seller here last time FACE THE FUTURE may have surpassed his official mark of 52 in doing so and therefore might not have to find much improvement to win a first handicap from today's pitch of 58. The front pair were clear that day, adding at least some weight to the form, while the cheekpieces stay on and he can follow-up. Geronimo Chief is 5lb higher than when winning over a mile here earlier in the month, but that is unlikely to have been a better effort than our selection and he may have to improve to win again. Mary Boyle disappointed when fancied in a claimer here last time and will have her work cut out from this mark back in a handicap, while Urban Kode may now do better after a 5lb drop and a step-up in trip and should be taken seriously, particularly if supported. Irie Ute is another to consider.
