    Verdict

Hughie Morrison does well at this track and Taikoo is fancied to further improve his record; Fantastic Lass and Forsyte Saga make it to the shortlist. The selection was a ready winner when last seen at the track back in January. He steps up in trip here by half a mile which isn't definitely assured on breeding but his trainer knows the time of day so in Hughie we trust. An Scaribh won over the course and distance two starts back but then failed to cut the mustard when in handicap company next time up; it may be that he didn't beat much in that maiden. Fantastic Lass was a ready winner nine days ago at Nottingham and certainly wasn't stopping at the line, so this extra distance shouldn't pose any problems. Pepper's Ghost has run two fair races this spring, but is easily held by Forsyte Saga despite a turn around in the weights. Home completes the lineup and should appreciate a return to this surface, however it is Taikoo who can win again.
