    Verdict

TRIP THE LIGHT is Richard Fahey's only runner here, and can justify spending the diesel to get him here by landing the decent prize money on offer, although Lucky Punt and Bogside Theatre will have their supporters. Trip The Light has yet to win on artificial surface, with his seven career wins all coming on turf, including last time out in a decent handicap at York. There may be a question mark over his suitability on Fibresand given that all his wins have come on good ground, but the trainer knows how to place his charges, and wouldn't be coming down here if not confident he would handle it. He's won over a mile and a half and the mile and a quarter he'll find here. There's an American dirt track influence in his pedigree, which should always be noted here. Lucky Punt's three career wins have come here albeit over slightly shorter trips, most recently last month. Brendan Powell's had some good results with his three year olds this season, with this one contributing to his success. Bogside Theatre hasn't won for a couple of years, and does like it soft underfoot. Jonjo O'Neill doesn't saddle many on the flat, but they're worth following when they come here, so any support for Sagredo should be noted. Tilte looks the pick of the Brian Ellison runners ahead of Carte Diamond, but our selection is Trip The Light.
