Trompette holds soid claims here and is preferred to Joan's Girl and Sabreflight. The selection scored impressively at Ludlow when beating Theatre Diva and this mare from the Nicky Henderson yard looks to be well ahead of the handicapper at present. Joan's Girl ran a decent race in defeat last time at Ayr when finishing third behind Kempski. She had gone up in the weights prior to that run and she just gave the impression that the handicapper had her measure. Sabreflight was a little disappointing at Sedgefield last time but she had previously shaped really well when finishing second at Hexham and that effort would certainly give her a chance today. Miss Pross has reserved her best efforts for Sedgefield and although she should go well she is passed over today, with Trompette nominated as the one they all have to beat.
