Verdict

A handful of course winners to consider but a chance is taken on a Fibresand debutant in DANUBE RIVER. She has the best recent form with a narrow margin defeat at Leicester last week having won at Bath earlier in the month. A half-sister to a winner on this surface, she gets the nod ahead of Cape Explorer and the lightly-raced Sun Seal. Saaboog won over a mile here in July but C&D winner Mazij looks in the handicapper's grip now and so does Honest Deal, who was beaten a head over track and trip in August. The unpredictable Veloso could prove best of the remainder.
