Jazrawy rates the tentative pick ahead of Red River Rebel and Backstreet Lad. Twelve furlongs has not been a fertile hunting ground for the selection but there is every reason to believe that the step up in trip could suit, given a good run at Carlisle during the summer. Red River Rebel probably needs further but lost no caste in defeat over this trip the other day. He should not be that far away. Backstreet Lad is a rare flat runner for Evan Williams and the market should be inspected for any clues. Glory Be should not be confused with the ex-Gay Kelleway inmate but there were plenty getting involved on his latest start, despite a disappointng result. Iamback ran a stinker last time out and is always vulnerable to improvers. Bill Bennett has yet to reachieve the glories of his juvenile career and has shown little suggest that any change is around the corner. True is an infrequent winner on the turf although his recent runs on the all-weather read well and Sue Lamyman's charge could be of interest for each-way punters. Jazrawy gets the nod in an uninspiring affair.
