Several hold chances in the opener but preference goes to Canadian Danehill time, with Cerebus, Tartatartufata and Yorkshire Lad respected as the best of the rest. The latter does face a stiff test at the weights though and he will do well to carry top weight to victory in this company. Another to have a look at is Azuree, who is better than she has showed of late and she should not be underestimated despite moderate recent form figures. She is now on a handy mark and, being trained by David Chapman, she is in the right hands to be found a race somewhere along the line. A careful monitoring of her position in the betting market is recommended. Tartatartufata can also go well at this level and she is at least weighted to reverse recent form with Cerebus if she can stay out of trouble today. Still, she will have her work cut out getting the better of the selection, as Robert Cowbell's charge dished out a compressive beating to her over course and distance just over three weeks ago. Canadian Danehill improved vastly on the all weather during the winter and, as he meets Cerebus on much more favourable terms than the last time they encountered each other, he has plenty in his favour now that he knows exactly what it takes for him to win a race.
