      Verdict

      MISHRIF can defy a penalty and land the opener. He'd been well beaten on his first outing on this surface, but it was a different story last week when he ran out a five length winner. With that mind, Uncle Dermot's previous poor effort at this track may be worth ignoring as he's a winner without a penalty having scored at Yarmouth in October. Cantor has been in decent form on the Polytrack but previous course and distance winner West End Lad remains out of sorts. Master Of Song is 5lb higher than when scoring here in August and something went amiss with Better Value last time.
