Song of Silence looks to be getting her act together but a 4lb rise for her latest second in a nursery here over a mile leaves Ed Dunlop's filly with more to do and preference is for Mambo Sun, who gets the vote ahead of Rambling Socks. The selection finished three lengths behind Ed Dunlop's filly last time but is now 5lbs better in, he should be suited by the drop to seven furlongs and hails from a stable that is in particularly good form now. Solicitude is lightly raced after just two starts and has to be considered first time in a handicap but would not appear to be well treated for his debut in this grade, while Dream Mountain needs to improve on all known form to trouble the judge but warrants respect given his connections. Manouche is probably better than he showed last time and should be watched if the market speaks in his favour although a bigger threat is likely to come from Rambling Socks, who may find this trip his optimum distance. Mambo Sun has solid claims though and is taken to reverse earlier form with Song of Silence.
