        Verdict

        A real headscratcher and Days Of Pleasure is picked ahead of Hot Bertie and Precipice. Jamie Osborne's charge has had fair chances in the past to score and while ten furlongs at Lingfield weren't enough to unlock the door, this seven at Southwell is more likely to suit. Hot Bertie is related to sprinters over shorter and his debut suggested that he could be worth persevering with. Precipice got close for Declan Gillespie in Ireland on a number of occasions but more will be required here. Moonage Daydream is probably the pick of the two Easterby runners but that isn't saying much. Lady Florence attempted to fly high in better maidens on the turf and is dropped to a realisitic level. Days Of Pleasure can finally get off the mark in a maiden that lacks too much in the way of depth.
