Verdict

Mataajir is in good form but has only once run at a trip this far and that was two years ago and his five victories have been at 7f and a mile. Marina Ballerina finished tailed off in a handicap over a mile here on New Year's Day then stepped up to this trip and recorded her maiden victory the following day for which she's been raised 6lb. Booktheband has his first start on the surface but has a bit more scope than most of these, though this looks destined for GRANDAD MAC. Scobie Coogan's charge has really found his form in recent weeks, scoring twice over 1m4f where he's been prominent throughout and stayed on strongly. He easily holds Kyllachykov and Dontpaytheferryman on those runs.
