Verdict

DESTROYER DEPLOYED has yet to match his second in last year's Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in a couple of starts over hurdles. It's too soon to give up on Tim Vaughan's charge, however, and he's fancied to open his account in this and reverse earlier running with recent Hereford third Dannanceys Hill. The latter should be thereabouts once again though Baileys Concerto posted a better effort when runner-up to Persian Snow at Huntingdon last time with Jonny Rye tailed off and he's another to consider. Little Chip has shown enough in bumpers to be of interest on his hurdling bow and is one to note for the future.
