In depth

Verdict

With the yard in good form we will side with ALFIE'S PEARL to land this mares' bumper, while Mwandi and Silvers Spirit could go well. The selection has the advantage of experience here, having performed with credit on her Huntingdon debut on Boxing Day. Cut in the ground appears to suit, and we will side with her to come good this time. Mwandi represents a yard that does reasonably well in this sphere, though her pedigree is nothing special. Even so, the trainer had a winner yesterday and she could have a say in this. Silvers Spirit looks the pick of Keith Reveley's pair on pedigree and is related to numerous winners, including a couple in bumpers, which augurs well for her chance and a big run is anticipated. Stablemate Swell The Chorus is nicely bred and a market check is advised to see how she is expected to fare. Deeveetee will probably be better with age and a test of stamina, and the same applies to Florence Kate. Alfie's Pearl gets the nod.
